Deed of Trust

LexRoll.com > Law Dictionary > Business Law > Deed of Trust

In some localities, a deed of trust arrangement is used rather than a mortgage to finance land purchases. In a deed of trust arrangement, the property is conveyed to a trustee in trust for the purchaser until the loan is paid. Once the loan has been paid, the property is conveyed to the purchaser.
