A 2018 United States Supreme Court opinion in which the Court held that the Securities Litigation Uniform Standards Act of 1998 did not take away from state courts jurisdiction to adjudicate class actions alleging only violations of the Securities Act of 1933. Further, the Court held that the Securities Litigation Uniform Standards Act of 1998 also did not authorize removal of such actions from state courts to federal courts.
