583 U.S. ___ (2018)

A 2018 United States Supreme Court Opinion in which the Court held that a criminal defendant who pleads guilty is not precluded from later challenging the constitutionality of the statute of conviction on a direct appeal.

Thus, under the Court’s ruling, a defendant’s acceptance of an unconditional plea does not waive that defendant’s right to challene the constitutionality of his conviction.
