Two boys (aged 7 and 8) entered plaintiffs’ garage while the family was away and started a fire in a small charcoal grill. While the boys’ backs were to the fire, the fire ignited a canvas tarpaulin covering the garage door. The fire spread, causing substantial damage to the house, garage, and their contents.
As trespassers, the boys were held liable for the entire damage.
