Bill of Lading

(n) the receipt received by the people who shipped goods or merchandise from the delivery service may it be a trucking company, a railroad, ship or air freighter for consignment to a specific purchaser. It is also referred to as a contract which enables the shipper to be secured by being assured of a payment and meets the expectations of the carrier that the receiver has rights to the shipped goods received.
